CHAPTER THREE
UNDERSTANDING THE PRINCIPLE OF HEALING BY SPEAKING GOD’S WORD
There is probably no other subject more important to your healing and health than the principle of calling things which are not as if there are. In Romans 4:17-22 Abraham became fully persuaded that God would do what He had promised. Then he became fully persuaded by calling those things which were not manifested as though they were.
Apostle Paul was referring to Genesis Chapter 17. You will notice that God called Abraham the father of nations before he had the promised child, and He taught Abraham to do the same.
God changed Abram’s name to Abraham, which means ‘father of nations, or multitude’. This was the means He used to convince Abraham to call for what he did not yet have in reality.
God had established it by promise, but Abram had to call it into reality by mixing faith with God’s word. Every time he said, “I am Abraham” he was calling things that were not yet manifest. Abraham did not deny that he was old. He didn’t go around saying, “I am not old” because he was old. But he said, “I am Abraham,” (Father of nations). This was God’s method of helping him change his image, and it caused him to be fully persuaded. God said it and he will do it.
This is the art strategy of calling things which are not as though they are. Every promise in God’s word is meant for a believer. The other advantage you have as a child of God is every word that has ever been spoken into your life and your spirit bears witness, keep confessing that word, be fully persuaded that God will bring it to pass for He will never lie.
God uses spiritual forces which are not seen, to nullify natural things that are seen. This is the Bible principal of calling things that are not as though they are. 2 Corinthians 4:13 We have the spirit of faith as it is written, I believed, and therefore have spoken, we also believe, and therefore speak.
That is what David is saying when he said I believe, and therefore have I spoken.
When we talk about the art strategy of divine healing this is a vital principle. We should declare to ourselves what God’s word reveals to us, regardless of the circumstance of how we feel about them.
In Romans 10:6-8 Apostle Paul says “that righteousness which is of faith says….the word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart. (That is the word of faith).
The word is in thy heart first and (then) in your mouth. God’s word becomes engrafted into your heart as you speak it. Nothing is more important to your faith than declaring what God has said about you with your own voice.
This is what the art strategy of declaring God’s word by faith is. Giving voice to God’s word is a method of calling for things that God has given by promise and are not yet manifest.
When you are declaring God’s word against existing difficult conditions, which seems humanly impossible, some people would think you are denying what exists, but that’s not true at all. You are establishing what God has said to be true concerning healing even though it is not yet a reality in your body. You don’t deny that sickness exists, but you deny the right for it to exist in your body, because you have been redeemed from the curse of the law and delivered from the authority and the powers of darkness.
God has also given you all things that pertain to godliness and life. They all belong to you as a child of God. 2nd Peter 1:3-4 when you are sick and confess that you are healed by the stripes of Jesus, you are calling for what God has already given you even though it is not yet manifest.
This is the art strategy of calling things that are not as though they were until they are. Some people have misunderstood this art strategy and they are calling things that are, as though they are not. In other words, they deny what exists. But there is no power in denying that sickness exists. The power is in calling for healing and healthy living by mixing faith with God’s word.
