DESIRE WHAT GOD DESIRES
King David, a man after God's heart gave us one of the secrets to receiving from God. This was simply that if we delight in the Lord, He will give us the desires of our heart. Jesus our example also did not fail in letting us know that if we seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness all other things will be added unto us. Everyone in the Bible who did that elevated one way or another. God gave them a listening ear when ever they cried out to Him. Putting God's desire above other things gives us leverage in so many ways. It is God's desire that His will be done on earth as it is in heaven. When we look around us today we see a lot of opposition to the gospel of Jesus Chris; moral laxities, disobedience to parents, the list is endless. Do not look away, rather be concerned because it gives God concern and when you take this up in prayer it gladdens God's heart. As praying mothers, having this consciousness and allowing time for the things of God will grant us a privileged audience before God, amongst other things. As you do your daily chores or run around doing various activities pray for the land, the sick, the down trodden, find ways of participating in anything which will make the kingdom of God an obvious reality to those around you. Let's not adopt a lifestyle of praying for me, myself and I. Remember again what the psalmist King David said in Psalm37:4:
"I delight my self in the Lord and He gives me the desires of my heart”. Sometimes blessings don't come until we take our focus away from that need if we want our prayer to be met. Pray about it, remind and thank God in anticipation of doing it every now and then but do not let your desire s become a god to you for God is a jealous God.
KNOW THE PLACE OF THE WORD
Dear woman of God, the pressures imposed by wickedness in our present day have brought a wave of desperation in us to seek to know the future. This is not wrong where you find a true man or woman of God. In as much as I do not want to be judgemental, I must say that many are delving into satanic territories ignorantly as some of the people being consulted may be under the control of Satan. Go to the Lord in prayer; study the word of God relating to His promises concerning you. These promises give us strength as we wait for the manifestation of God's blessings. Do not settle for cheap and devastating substitutes to satisfy the void in your life. You belong to a chosen generation, a royal priesthood. Lady, you are a royal. Unnecessary search and curiosity about the future could attract more problems. At a vulnerable time like this, is when the word becomes safer. May we not be victims of evil prophecies and hopelessness.
This is where the word becomes safer. Hebrews 4:12 says "For the word of God is living and dominion when the word is issued. That is why Jesus used the word to overcome Satan when he tempted Him. Rather than moan about that financial situation, that unbearable spouse, job or in-law, use the promises given to us in the bible. The words of God are spirit and life.
God says that he esteems His word above His name. In Isaiah 1:18 He says: "Come let us reason together.” He also says in Isaiah 41:21 “produce your case saith the Lord, bring forth your strong reasons”. How do you plead in prayer? It is by using His word. When you remind God of His word he responds swiftly. God is never reluctant to respond once He hears the promises He has given us spoken in prayer. An example can be found in the encounter between Jesus and Satan when Jesus was tempted after His forty days fast. Satan spoke to Jesus saying: "If you are the son of God command these stones to become bread” (Luke 4:3). Jesus also used the word saying "Man shall not live by bread alone but by every word of God” (Luke 4:4).
When the word grows in you, your faith increases. When you pray search the bible for promises relating to what you want to pray about. You can even make reference to how God responded to the cry for help written there about these people and use it to plead your case. Because God is the same through the generator, what he has done in time past, He can still do today.

PUSH LADY PUSH is borne out of a conviction that diligent passionate prayer yields results. The Bible says the wise woman builds her home. (Proverbs14:1) There is no better way to build than through the medium of prayer. Insurmountable challenges and struggles will crumble when she prays. There is power in prayer. Mary Queen of Scots once said:
"I fear the prayers of John Knox, more than the armies of France".
While the content of this book is directed towards ladies, the principles are helpful to any one who is keen to pray .
The author encourages you to employ and deploy the weapons of prayer. You will discover in this book emphasis on using the word of God as you pray and also included are some prayer points, these are to help those who are learning the art of prayer formulate and present their prayers before God.
