Adam S. Jenkins got the main of his inspiration for this, his first novel, whilst sleeping. The whole basis for this venture was from a small part of his life, he’d like to call the ‘dream machine era’. He would genuinely go to sleep, be awoken in the night, then scurry around to find a pen, quickly before the incredible image was erased from his mind, and after a fortnight or so the story was implanted on his heart, mind and soul for ever. A character was born, the idea of a warrior, a warrior that stood for truth and honour, a warrior that was just for defence, the 'Master Disciple' was born. A New Revelation is about an apocalyptic secret that would render all civilisation as we know it, a slave to the most evil darkness known to all mankind. The ‘church’ in the term of a global network that as fought to protect all life on earth from this absolute truth, and yet be the un-respected entirety criticized by its own darkness and controversy. Turning its cheek to a world that as condemned it’s work and interference in all we do. But always the reluctant hero the church fought tirelessly to protect a world that scorned its very presence and shunned God’s grace and mercy and merely fell in love with the greed and selfishness the world had to offer. But we find a new hero who is thrust into a new world that challenges his own faith, all because of this new truth revealed, his eyes are opened to an evil reign that as been roaming the earth for hundreds and hundreds of years, preying on the weak in faith and hope, in order to live life forever without relent or remorse. ‘A New Revelation’.
Adam Jenkins has lived in Walsall in the West Midlands for all his life and has worked in road maintenance since leaving school. He has been married to Rachel for over 12 years and has two children, Grace and Zach. Adam is a huge fan of comedy and especially likes Vic Reeves and Bob Mortimer. Adam spent over 10 years of his life volunteering as a youth worker at his local church and he is a car fanatic. He lists Will Self and Robert Ludlum as his favorite authors. Adam a typical story teller, found writing to be the best kind of therapy in the world, so decided to take all the note books and scraps of paper lying around from tireless nights of being woken up, to then quickly jot down ideas and characters, to form his first novel.
