There are only a few things in life that we can be sure of, and one of these things is the fact that we shall all have our fair share of storms. Some storms shall be fierce, while others may seem mild. Some storms shall be expected, and others will be totally unexpected. Winds will blow, breakers will dash, clouds will roll in, and it will rain. There is no doubt about it storms will come, but they shall not last always.
Now you must understand that the importance of the storm is not found in how the storm handles you, but it’s in how you handle the storm. There are important principles to be found in every aspect of the storm, and in Coming Out of the Rain you will learn how to apply these principle to overcoming your situations. A storm by definition is any commotion or agitation that disrupts the norm, and in this book you will learn how to calm these agitations. In those few instances that you will not be able to calm the blowing winds, you will learn how to ride them into higher grounds.
Elder Charles C. Brown is the founder and pastor of the New Heaven Christian Church, a young ministry that is dedicated to restoring shattered dreams, mending broken hearts, strengthening the savior’s saints, and saving lost souls through the anointed power of the Word of God. Pastor Brown has dedicated his life to making a difference in the world that we are living in. He believes that God has predestined us all to reach a certain level of spiritual greatness, and through God’s divine order that level of spirituality can be achieved.
Understanding The Rain.
As the rain falls, the solitary drops begin to dance across the rooftops. Then they slowly and meticulously begin to cascade down the windowsills. These soft, soothing, and somewhat rhythmic sounds can be a very relaxing sedative. Young lovers cuddle closely together, while walking hand and hand in a warm cozy embrace. And as their umbrellas shelter them from the cool summers rain, they longingly and lovingly make plans for their future lives together. The roses so soft and sweet open wide their brightly colored lips, and drink in this life giving nectar as it falls from the skies above. The rain is known to have magical and mystical effects upon the world.
But what happens when the rain does not stop, and the drizzle becomes a storm? What happens when the floods come, and our dreams are washed away in a stream of desperation? What happens when it rains so hard that the basements of our emotions begin to flood? Where do we run to when the bridges of life are washed away, and carried down stream on a raging river of loneliness?
For some of us our lives seem to be one big rainstorm after another. Many of us feel as though in our lives the rain will never end. It just keeps coming and coming, wave after wave, like a never-ending vicious cycle. Deep within the very depths of our souls many of us have a feeling that if we can just reach a level of dryness, or somehow make it to higher ground everything will be all right. If we can just reach a level in our lives, where the rain will stop falling maybe just maybe this life will make more sense.
While on the other hand there are some of us, who have actually taken up refuge in the storm. They have used the rain to hide their tears, and to wash away their grief? This is the tribe that I once belonged to. My life had been filled with so much pain, and sadness that the only place that I could find refugee in was in the midst of the storm. The only place that I found peace was in the rain.
