About the Book

Tidbits On Life was written to shed a little honest light on a broad spectrum of subjects, in the sincere hope that every chapter—every tidbit—may reach or touch someone and help to change his or her life in a constructive, positive, rewarding and enriching manner.

It's tender... it's tough.

A thirst for knowledge is essential in everyone's life. But, the person who makes no mistakes very seldom makes very much of anything.

About the Author

Kathy Lasseter was born in Guilford, Connecticut, raised in Miami, Florida and currently resides in the Florida Keys. Kathy and her husband Ken (a research doctor) have three children and three grandchildren. She was active with her younger son, Frank in creating Frank Keys Cafe in Key Largo. This gourmet restaurant has been listed among the top two hundred restaurants in Florida by Florida Trend Magazine for the last eight years.

Currently she is working on a new cookbook and a novel. Kathy believes that happiness comes from giving back and judging only yourself.

ALWAYS HAVE A PLAN 'B'

Plan 'A'.

We're absolutely, positively, one-hundred-percent positive it will work. Not a doubt.

And then, for some reason – maybe not even our fault – it doesn't. Fails. Falls flat on its face.

Disaster. We fall apart.

Always have Plan 'B' as a backstop. An alternative. As a position from which to re-group. Attack again.

Certainly, we will be less pleased with Plan 'B', but it's a far, far better alternative to being devastated by the lack of success with Plan 'A' than falling into depression. Despair. Defeat.

Life doesn't always treat us as we expect. Or plan. Or as perhaps we deserve.

Plan, so that if Plan 'A' doesn't come off as you have every right to expect, Plan 'B' is acceptable.

WORDS

It's really amazing.

What we allow to roll off our tongues, flow through our lips, can hurt or help or provoke laughter or tears.

Words are powerful.

They can be kind and consoling, or words can desecrate and ruin a friendship or marriage or partnership.

Words can build, and words can destroy. They can nourish and nurture, or they can plunder and they can pillage.

Choose your words wisely.

Be certain your brain is in gear before shifting your mouth into drive.

Words are powerful.
