Lawrence J. Hanks is an associate professor of Political Science at Indiana University-Bloomington.
He is a magna cum laude graduate of Morehouse College and holds the Ph.D. from Harvard University in government. He is the author of Black Political Empowerment in Three Georgia Counties, 365 Days of Kwanzaa, and the co-editor of Black and Multiracial Politics in America. He is the husband of Diane Gordon Hanks and the father of four children, Shonda Latrice, L. Julius, II, Latoysha Joy, and Mahogany Arlette.
A passionate teacher, solutionist, and advocate of positive thought for over twenty-five years, Daily Fruit: 365 Days of Fruit of the Spirit is his first book with a largely spiritual focus.
