I am a 66 year old Grandma. I live in the country. One of my cats was named 'Miss Kitty.' She married King Chewah of Afganahound and got the title of Queen. But we still call her 'Miss Kitty.' To date I have written 24 'Miss Kitty' adventures. I have traveled around the world, and many of my books were written at historical sites. I heard many myths from natives in different lands and incorporated them into my books. You will read the stories through the eyes of 'Miss Kitty.' My Granddaughter Jessica illustrated Miss Kitty and other characters at the age of 7 years old. Other illustrations are made by Pat S. Goodrich. Thanks for her artistic talents.
I started writing 'Miss Kitty' adventures because there was so much violence in the children's programs I wanted parents and Grandparents to have an alternative for their children and Grandchildren.
I have had injuries to my hands and back so I put my stories on tape and had them transcribed and edited by Dar Mikula. Many thanks Dar.
If you have read any of my Miss Kitty adventures, you will know I have written some of my books in foreign lands. The wonders of the world are breathtaking, and give me so much inspiration to write. I do a lot of taping and picture taking to help.
MISS KITTY'S JOURNEY DOWN THE NILE
It was a beautiful spring morning in Afganahound. Miss Kitty, Queen Kitty, was asleep in her huge bedroom in the palace. Miss Kitty's husband, King Chewah, her granddaughter, Princess Kitty, and her grandson, Prince Spike, Queen Chewe and Prince Big Paws, parents of Princess Kitty, were discussing Miss Kitty. They all agreed she was the best wife and grandma. They wanted to do something special for her in appreciation for all the wonderful things she had done for them.
Princess Kitty said, 'Grandma always wanted to go to Egypt, to go down the Nile.'
King Chewah said, 'She was in Cairo awhile back but she never went down the Nile. That has been her dream for some time.'
Queen Chewe said, 'Do we all agree? We will send her down the Nile.'
Everyone agreed she should go.
Princess Kitty said, 'I would love to go to Egypt with grandma.'
Prince Spike said, 'My dear, we must leave for Mongolia. The emperor, my dad, and the empress, my mom, are anxiously awaiting to see us. My dad is very ill and mom is worried.'
Princess Kitty said, 'Oh how selfish of me. Certainly I will accompany you. Your dad is ill and we must go to Mongolia as quickly as we can.'
In the meantime Miss Kitty had awakened and called Madam Wong to her quarters to give her a massage. She was so exhausted and aching from her trip to the United States. Madam Wong had magic fingers. She was so good at her trade that Miss Kitty had her on staff at the Afganahound Castle. Miss Kitty missed her massages when she was traveling.
Madam Wong had just completed the massage when there was a knock at the door. It was King Chewah and his daughter, Queen Chewe.
King Chewah said, 'Miss Kitty, my dear, my dear Queen Kitty. May we come in? We have a surprise for you.'
'Come in,' Miss Kitty said. 'I love surprises. What is it? What is it?'
King Chewah said, 'How would you like to journey down the Nile?'
Miss Kitty said, What?' What do you mean?'
King Chewah said, 'The whole family has voted to give you a special luxury trip down the Nile.'
