A cracked pot is a journey into the mind, of what my wife calls, a madman. Space and time captured in verse and rhyme in a collection of works descriptively manipulated to make one wonder.
Ed was born in Corona CA, in the year of 1971. He began writing short stories about his favorite cartoon characters while he was in the second grade. He started writing poetry by the second year of high school. Still writng at the age of 33, this husband and father of two has decided to share his artwork by putting together a little collection of poems.
“Dreams”
My head lies resting
Enabling the freedom of my mind
Circling, spinning, I fly
Released into wonderland as another tea party goes by
A nonsensical collection of inconsequential reflections
Projected in every direction, the trajectory
Intricate, complicated, as abstract as any kind of mix can be
Interwoven scenes of fabricated means
Hand painted tapestries, delicately planted all in a row
Sliding off the walls in an attempt to grow
Escape and flow, lead to a point, destination unknown
From that nest, how many birds have flown
“Out Of Sight”
I’ve traveled for what seems to be an eternity
On a road without a map
I’ve jumped from mountain top to mountain top
And in the flowers I’ve sat
I’ve fallen from the clouds, to six feet underground
Crossing the desert, through the wilderness
Down to the ocean to catch the sunset
On the shore, once more
Building sandcastles on the beach
From the west to the east
Jungles and forests, hills and dales
To uncharted islands I’ve sailed
Venturing onto cliffs, down with avalanches
Dancing on tree tops and their outstretched branches
Kissin sky, kissin dirt
To the four corners of the earth
Into grand canyons and valleys, under the seven seas
Nowhere can I go
Where The Almighty does not see
