This is the story a young indigenous boy from an ancient town named Coxcatlan.  His lack of respect towards family members and elders displayed his negative attitude.  Through a vision from a dream, he gained wisdom of his wrongdoings and decided to correct them.

About the Author

Tenamazti X. Tonantzin received a B.A. in English from Cal Poly Pomona and an M.A. in Anthropology from Cal State Fullerton.  On his father’s side he is a descendant of the Tecuexe people from Tepatitlan, Jalisco.  On his mother’s side he is a descendant of the Caxcan people from Juchipila, Zacatecas.

In old Anahuac, there once was a city named Coxcatlan.  Most of the people were farmers, but not all of them.  There were teachers, warriors, merchants and more.  The elder people gave advice while the children played all day long.  Except for one boy.
