Andrew Heller
Charlie’s Mom is picking five red rose. Charlie asks how and why flowers grow so bright and she says “with love, hope, and charity.”
“Where do I get love, hope and charity?,” Charlie asks.
Charlie’s mom tells him to go out and look for it.
Charlie spends his day searching for love, hope, and charity but cannot find it. He returns home after asking the day flowers, the old man, the fish in the dirty pond. No-one knows where love, hope and charity are.
Mom explains that it is in your heart when you are born and all you have to do is learn to turn it on!

“Mmmm, that smells good,” Charlie said.
“What are you going to do with that flower now, Mommy?” Charlie asked.
“Well Charlie, this rose can bring smiles to sad faces, fresh smelling air to damp and dark homes and hope to the hopeless.”
“It can do all that?” Charlie asked, very surprised.
“Well it can, but it has to have a little help.”
Charlie’s mommy explained.
“Where does the flower get help?” Charlie asked curiously.
