About the Book

This book has an interesting history even before coming out on the market.

Had it come out before the end of December ’99, it could have been seen as pure fiction. However, end of December some theoricians of physics , a world apart, have confirmed the theory on which all of this is resting .

This model of the universe was first printed in ’78 and brought about mostly friendly smiles from scientists as it states that the empty space is anything but empty, and that there is no particle moving around, just information circulating in a organized cloud of something.

Come on now !

Besides it doesn’t always agree with Einstein, Hubble and Co. Very irrespectful.

That’s totally farfetched !

So until Dec.’99 when this book was supposed to come on the internet, according to the contract with 1rstBooks, this book looked like total fiction, and the author was willing to admit that much. Believe it or not, he said.

However, at the end of Dec. ’99 two Chineses Yu-Chengfang and Xufin came out with a mathematical model of the universe which supports exactly the same opinion. No empty space, a cloud of something everywhere, which here takes the face of empty space, here the face of matter.

This gives more substance to Dr. Leclercq’s model which now doesn’t stand alone.

This means that the model on which this book is based may not be fiction after all.

That means that this book may describe the universe as it really is and give at last some idea about the other world and its inhabitants, spirits maybe, gods perhaps, souls ?

Of course this means that I had to rewrite this section.

The book on the other hand remains unchanged. It is a very special book, written without any plan, developing itself naturally over six days, could we say inspired?

Day one: material universe. Day two : spiritual universe. Day three : god, liberty. Day four : body, mind, soul. Day five: christianity, prophets, religions. Day six : god male ? female ? devil.

We move gently, logically, clearly from one question to the next.

Not much is left out. This book describes what is the most probable, but we are free to accept any part of it, or the entire book. When all is said, we are left to choose our personal opinion.

Why do the leaves turn brown and drop during Fall ?

I had never given it a thought. Besides I knew the answer just as everyone else. Science provides them : they turn brown, because the sap, blah blah blah... they drop because the flow of sap is shut off for the winter...blah blah!

Not a thought until one day in October, a few years back as I was driving North back to Canada on Taconic Parkway I was surprised by the catastrophic aspect of the landscape.

An early snowfall had surprised the trees before they had a chance to drop their leaves. The snow had stuck to the leaves, overloading the branches . Under the weight the thinner branches had broken and the tree tops were now ten meters - 30 feet - lower.

This picture told me why the trees bother to replace their leaves - at a great cost in energy - year after year.

They compete for light and they compete against the evergreen. To win the competition they must grow taller, faster, and then cover with their leaves as wide an area as possible to get as much exposure, - energy - as the sun would provide. With their leaves and their heights they soon take all available light and condemn the evergreens to misery and death.

However, in the process they put themselves at risk. The large leaves can carry a lot of heavy snow and this imposes so much of a stress on the tall but thin branches that they break.

Were that ever to happen every year, all the advantage gained over the evergreen would be lost year after year.

And this is what I was observing.

On the other hand, by losing their leaves the trees were saving their advance in the race to the top of the forest, and this was largely compensating the yearly loss of the canopy.

Thus the answer to the question : why do the trees lose their leaves during Automn ? is ' Not to fall back every year in their race toward the sky.'

In many instances science answers falsely to the question 'Why ?' and this is just an example.

Another instance :

What about 'universal gravitation ?' How does it work ? Science just says what to expect from it. Nothing more.

The question 'why ?' has two or even three sides in most people's mind. One is ' how does it happen, what are the mechanisms involved ?' the other is ' for what purpose'. It is the difference between 'how come ?' and ' to what end ?', in German, 'wie, warum und wozu'. Why does the earth turn around the sun ? Warum : ' how come ?' - why does the earth turn around the sun ? because it is in motion so it tries to move on, straight forwards, but as it is caught in the gravitation field of the sun it cannot.

Wie : more specifically : 'by which mechanism ?' how does the sun grab the earth ? who knows . In fact it appears no one ever seriously bothered to ask. This space-time continuum stuff doesn't give any clue as to how two object may pull each other.

Wozu : to what purpose ? Who knows ? and in fact, is there any purpose ?

Usually Science gives nothing but answers to 'how come ?', and worse still, often it does only say ' to what extent' which does not allow for a coherent vision of the universe.

We can predict the effects of causes, but we have really no idea of the way things work.

All we see are parts and operations, we fail to see the car, and even more the driver and his reasons or destination.

I have an instinctive tendency to see more questions. In practical life it is a problem for I spend so much time - automatically, don't think this is anything to boast about - trying to solve problems that I see, trying to understand, that I am always late understanding what people around me are trying to let me know or what is going on.

That's called creativity I guess, and it is a social plague.

On the other hand, although it has put me in all kinds of difficulties , it has lead me to figure out, imagine, create, discover - who knows - how our universe may be. I am a clutt, and a dreamer , maybe a visionary.

Let's consider some elementary questions that come to all of us at one time or another :

May I treat myself to a Mercedes or should I give my money to the poor?
