Felicity Harrison is a barrister specialising in criminal law under her maiden name (Felicity Gerry). In her spare time she likes to write. This is her first book for children. It was originally created for her daughter Florence. Her husband Andrew took the photographs of Elsie. The vibrant illustrations were provided by Christopher Green, a successful commercial artist who has produced artwork for books and has been commissioned to produce artwork for high profile clients including Saatchi and Saatchi, Walt Disney Corproation and Granada
Elsie is a real pony. She has short legs and a round tummy. She is not particularly pretty but she is very clever and quite brave. She lives in a field with a conker tree in the middle of it. The field is in the middle of a village and the village is in the middle of everywhere else.
