The author lives on the coast of North Carolina. This is her third book in the "Harley" series. Her book looking at the comedic side of her own life, "Blue Hair and City Bound," was published in 2004, and she is now at work on the sequel.
"I found some very disturbing news in my newspaper this morning. A dog went to the Lakeshore Museum, right here in town, and was NOT allowed in - because she's a dog. Dogs should be allowed to get smart about things the way people do.
THEN I read about the election for Dog Warden, and the light bulb in my dachshund brain lit up."
