The book Orion the Miracle Kitty is the first children’s book that the author, Marcella Lansdowne, has written. She has started several other books that will soon be at the publisher. Marcella has also written an autobiography called Marcella - Strength, Courage, Spirit; all in one lifetime. Marcella has always loved animals, and has truly enjoyed writing about one of her cats—Orion, “the miracle kitty”.
Marcella Lansdowne was born in Santa Monica, California. She obtained a BSCS at Chapman University in 1985. Marcella has an exciting career writing software for government projects such as Advance Attack Helicopter (AAH), the Ballistic Early Warning Missile System (BEWMS), the Space Shuttle, the Titan IV, and the C-17 Globemaster III airplane. Marcella has three children and four grandchildren, the youngest of which is named after her. Now Marcella lives in Tucson at Falling Rock Estate with; Patty, Annabel, Valentine, Tiger Lilly, and of course Orion. Marcella Lansdowne is now an author.
One day when Orion went outside to play, she saw something moving under the storage shed, and ran down to investigate. Orion kept reaching underneath the shed, trying to grab whatever was moving, but she could not see what it was. She heard a rattling sound and thought it was one of her toys.
Orion felt a pinch on her arm. Was it one of those pesky Prickly Pear Cactus? Was it one of those horrid Cholla Cactus, that seems to jump out and stick needles in whoever walks by? No, this hurt much more than a cactus. Orion decided to run to the house and tell Marcella what had happened.
