Coley earned a Bachelor’s of Science Degree from Howard University in 1991. Her yearning to write intensified when she became a mother of two.

Coley's passion to build and instill good moral character far surpasses that of her own children. Her passion touches and is felt by every girl, boy, woman, and man with whom she comes in contact.

Coley’s desire is to inspire and equip in the areas of spirit, street, and book knowledge, as all three components are necessary for a successful and fulfilled life.
