Dr. Imad Hassan
The continuous political hostilities between the West and Muslim world made many people forget the fact that the three big faiths of mankind ‘Judaism, Christianity and Islam’ have originated in the house of Abraham and they share grounds greater than the differences between them. This book provides a positive approach to the family relationship between the children of Ishmael 'Arabs' and their cousins the children of Israel. It approves from Islamic point of view the divine origin of Judaism and Christianity as well as it places the last Prophet Mohammed in his natural place in the house of Abraham, based on the many prophesies referring to his forthcoming in the Torah, Psalm and the Gospels. It is an intellectual constructive approach to the philosophy of comparative religion.
Dr. Imad Hassan is a British Psychiatrist who was born and raised in Sudan in a mixed Sudanese Egyptian family. After graduating from Khartoum University as a medical doctor he moved to the UK and settled here. Since his arrival to the UK in 1991, he felt he has moral duty to contribute intellectually and spiritually to the development and well being of his beloved new hospitable home. He attended a course in the church and studied the Bible out of interest and respect to the UK culture, at the hands of Christian vicars. He then followed a long road of intellectual debates and exchange of knowledge with various denomination of Christianity, scholars and lay men. He realised from early days in the UK that the Western people do not know much about Islam from authentic sources, also he felt offended by the aggressive attitude of some ignorant Muslims who are engaged in the field of comparative religion, so he decided to specialise in this new discipline, when he took the philosophy of comparative religion as an added speciality to his Medical career.
Dr. Hassan’s philosophy is that: For universal peace, mankind should agree that ignorance is our shared enemy and we should all unite to fight ignorance instead of fighting each other over insignificant differences!
He has written a few articles and recently decided to publish his experience in a series of books for the benefit of all.
The House of Abraham was made of his two wives, Sarah was the first, and Hagar, who was an Egyptian princess, was the second. His Children were Ishmael son of Hagar and Isaac son of Sarah who was about thirteen years younger than Ishmael. The Arabs descended from his first son Ishmael while the Jews descended from his second son Isaac. All the prophets in the house of Abraham descended from his second son Isaac, from Jacob down to Jesus. The only prophet, who descended from Ishmael, was Mohammed.
Christians and Jews of today are aware of many references to the Israelites prophets, but due to the lack of knowledge about Islam, and the political distance between the two cousins, Arabs and Jews of today, there are many references to the forthcoming of Mohammed which remained misunderstood and sometimes remained referring to ‘a mysterious prophet’ because the descriptions do not fit with any known prophet in the house of Israel. This book follows the developments in the house of Abraham and his two Children, placing the references to various prophets in their correct places, which sorts out the mystery of that prophet, who is Mohammed. It also makes the divine revelation from the One God as one continuous story from Adam to Mohammed who was the seal of the prophets.
