A Little About The Book
This book concerns a man’s search to find meaning and purpose in his life. George is an academic working mainly in the areas of philosophy and social science also a writer not only of academic items but poetry and meditations he has composed under the name of Chong Tzu. Very few people know Chong Tzu is actually him. George has known loss particularly of his mother and father yet, often has a sense of their being close to him, he has known hurt and betrayal and has had been in conflict with the judicial system in the past. Through a series of events in which many difficult issues are raised e.g. child abuse, the nature of justice, the meaning of life and the reality of the life to come he approaches his goal and purpose as he finds real acceptance for being the person he is just as he is. George finds himself to be the possessor of more gifts than he realized; his journey is a hard one and he learns a lot on the way. George is prepared to enter into the new life that is his while acquiring a very real understanding of the life to come and the oneness of all creation.

I have been writing since I was a child and have been aware for some time of the need to express what I see, think and feel through the written word. I have known periods of trial, fear, hardship and life threatening distress and through this have tried in one way or another to make sense of all that goes on around me. I have experienced loss, isolation, fear etc as ‘George’ has and these and other themes like suicide, questions on the meaning of justice, loss, and betrayal have found expression in my life as they have in the lives of others. I have tried to think, to ask the hard question and see how things really are, perhaps ‘George’ will encourage you to try this as you journey with him and meet all kinds of people and experience on the way. I wish peace and clear seeing to all who read this book.

Nature has a lot to show all who care to look; he thought of Chong Tzu’s teaching on ‘The Way Of The Wise Heart’ which was close to nature and the oneness of all created life and, indeed, all creative living and growing. George was growing now, opening like a flower to the light of the future.
Then earlier in the day when Jenny had been so supportive in his encounter with the police. George knew all the more that he could never trust them again or the system they were part of which, he had experiences flashbacks of his dealings with them, felt again the inner death and he knew some thought this funny but flashbacks are not funny, rather they are dangerous and potentially life threatening.
As a philosopher he knew he must ask questions that would point to clear seeing and wisdom to find and follow a better way which he was convinced existed. A little more work on the paper, some marking to catch up on then he got ready to leave.
Jenny also had a relaxed day. There was just tidying up to do and she would be on her way. Sharon and Eileen had been great to be with...
