This book is recovery poetry for all people- drugs, emotional illness, war, the system. The author is determined to get her voice out in print to show you that there is therapy in poetry. She has experienced hardship, problems with the system, legal trouble, illness, and drugs. But all of these trials in her life are what really paved the road and gave her the degree to publish such a book. A very powerful, very real, book that needs to be shared with the public.
Sandra Mally is a striving poet who was born in Fairfield County, Connecticut. Moved to New York State for a while, where she experienced many jobs, education, and failures as well. Now, she is back in Connecticut, with a purpose in life- to write and share recovery. Her main purpose is to be heard and loved, and to prove that through faith, your life can truly change, and that the failures you experience in life are what lead you to recovery.
For centuries poetry has been written. Older poetry, sometimes hard to understand, needs interpretation because of the language used back then. Today we have free-verse poetry, open to all readers. "The Echoes, The Times, The Poetry" is a book in plain english, about recovery from drugs, mental illness, and the system, filled with shady politicians and the trouble with health care and medications and the poor. You will be amazed by the writers insight!
