About the Book

“Death smiles upon us all. All we can do is Smile back”
                           (Russel Crowe Gladiator)

Survival is the objective of this book. When faced against an armed adversary we value our life above all else. The sole purpose of existence turns to survival, when life hangs in the balance.  The life that we hold so precious becomes fragile when we find ourselves staring death in the face. Often times we don’t recognize that it could only take seconds to have our lives bled out from underneath us. It is only in the times of peril, and we realize that our life is hanging by a thread that Survival becomes so important. Make no mistake this book is about SURVIVAL.

“That Which does not kill us makes us stronger.”
              (Fredreich Neitsche)

This system was originally designed to train the operator in edged weapon combative techniques; however the principles of the techniques can be adapted to unarmed combatives as well.  The philosophy and principles of the system is based on destruction, aggressiveness, practicality and efficiency. Each and every part of your enemy’s body that comes into contact with you is to be destroyed, scientifically and systematically. The techniques taught are basic and require little fine motor skills. This is not to say once mastered the techniques may not incorporate the use of fine motor skills.  The ideal of (C.A.T.P.O.D) is that both the operator and enemy are wearing body armor and the operator is fatigued and malnourished. Thus efficiency is stressed. Dueling is not taught however; countering drills are taught.

“Don't you teach 'em knife fighting. Teach 'em to kill. That way, they meet some son of a bitch who studied knife fighting; they send his soul to hell.”
(Quote from Spartan 2004)

When learning Principles Of Destruction, ( P.O.D.) the trainee will not learn knife fighting. The trainee will learn to destroy whatever part of the enemy, they come into contact with.
