About the Book
This book is about a little boy who loved to talk and share his ideas with his friends.  It did not matter where he talked, or what he talked about, he just had to tell someone something that happened to him.  When he got in trouble for talking, he always tried to think of a reason as to why the teacher had to give him a red frog day.  Sometimes he would even lie to his mom because he wanted her to think that he was a green frog day kid.  When the teacher called his mom without his knowledge he was very upset because he was in big trouble.  That night when he went to bed he dreamed an ugly monster caught him.
About the Author

Elizabeth Arkward Newton, the youngest of eight children, born in Lyndhurst, Virginia and raised in the valley of the Afton Mountains.  Primary and secondary education was in the public school systems of Albermarle and Nelson counties.  High School education was received by the Sisters of the Blessed Sacrament at Saint Francis De Sales (Castle on the James River), in Powhatan, Virginia.  Saint Francis DeSales was an all girl prep-high school founded by the Saint Katharine Drexel in 1891 for disadvantaged African Americans and Indian girls.  It was designed to promote dignity, self respect and a high degree of Christian education.

I retired from the U.S. Department of Labor in Washington D.C., after 30 years of service as a Budget/Management Analyst, in the Office of the Solicitor.  After retirement, I worked as a substitute teacher for the Prince George's public school system and Capitol Christian Academy, a private Christian school in Upper Marlboro, Maryland.

I currently live in Troy, Virginia with my husband.  I am the mother of six children, one step-son and thirteen grand-children.  My inspiration for writing children stories comes from my beautiful grand-children, a happy and adventurous child-hood in the rolling hills of Virginia and many positive experiences as a substitute teacher working with elementary school children.
