Marjorie H. White
A Cairn terrier named Misty introduces us to her many friends and neighbors and tells about some of the adventures in her life. She tells us how she likes to open birthday and Christmas presents, play, visit with people, and generally enjoy life with her many friends in the same manner as most children do. She does this in a most entertaining way and hopes that you will enjoy her antics as much as she does.
Mrs. White and Misty spend all ther time together living in a suburban town in New England. After the death of her husband, Mrs. White's thoughts turned to Misty as the center of her life, and her funny antics and adventurous ways soon instigated the writing of the book, Stories of a Dog Named Misty. Together, they began a new life in a new home and, because of Misty's friendly ways and love of people they met many new friends and neighbors. Occasionally, they like to go for rides in the car to visit their old friends and ex-neighbors as well.
One day that first summer of my life, my - let's start calling the couple who adopted me my Mom and my Dad - Mom opened the back door on the deck and said something to my Dad - what an opportunity! I pushed by her and down the stairs (they didn't know I could handle stairs yet) and out into the yard with my Mom and Dad both chasing me. I went through a hole in the wall and went next door to visit my neighbors - Bill and Carly. Carly was a little girl and she like running around the yard with me when I was on a leash. And she was the one who finally caught me because I went to her - I like little girls and boys.
