About the Book

Those who found pleasure reading Jules Verne will very likely enjoy this science fiction / adventure story. Love for nature and plausible advancements in technology, combined into a special kind of romanticism, are essential guidelines throughout the whole story.

Contrary to Jules Verne's works, in which few or no women have a leading role, a steady interaction between uncommon men and extraordinary women, in a context of diversity, gives this book a dynamic social trait. The reader has to cope with moral and philosophical dilemmas, dealt with in an easy and logical way. References to the old continent and to the present time abound; some stereotypes are smashed to smithereens, others seem to hold true.

In principle offered to young people, this work may also attract not so young readers with an open mind and a heart for adventure.

He lives happily with wife and son in a suburb of Madrid.

Now, it seems that he has finally found some time to write the stories, or an updated version thereof, that he invented for his son to listen to and enjoy.

24th century. Master Engineer Carrás is finishing his prototype of a special all-terrain vehicle that will allow a trained crew to enter the dark face of GEMINIX, where the recent apparition of a bloodthirsty man-eater plant keeps the population scared and away.

A call from governor Rebroff aims to convincing Carrás and his wife that he and his team of specialists are the chosen ones to ride their ATV on the hidden side of GEMINIX.

The assignment looks challenging: all the robots sent to the dark hemisphere by the government-owned INTERPLAN have been inexplicably terminated, except one engineered by Luis Carrás some years ago.

But their mission starts to get really weird when pretty Silvia, their space physician, and the exuberant Rebeca, the biologist of the team, discover that the man-eating plant is alien to the planet and has been genetically re-engineered to survive on GEMINIX.
