AGE DISCRIMINATION: AN EPIDEMIC IN AMERICA is not just another book on ageism. All forms of DISCRIMINATION are having devastating affects on millions of people in this country young and old alike regardless of their age, race color, origin, gender, disability, and religious affiliation. When the economy suffers as a result of higher costs in fuel, food, medical, and housing expense the poor, the oppressed, and those struggling with unemployment and underemployment suffer beyond comprehension. Why isn't the U.S. Government adequately funding, staffing, and enforcing EQUAL RIGHTS (
EEO, EEOC) and the laws that were made to protect All Americans who are in fact U.S.Citizens?
In 2001, the U.S was under attack from terriosts who brought this country to its knees. Their self-destruction took the lives of many innocent people, planes, and buildings of which will never be replaced. A part of me died that year as well as I lost a great battle to keep the American dream alive, my business. Nothing in my twenty-eight years of business expereince would have prepared me for the numerous violations in EQUAL RIGHTS (EEO, ADEA) and economic hardships my family and me were forced to endure over the past seven years. Three discrimination charges were filed with Equal Employment Opportunity Commision (EEOC) on age and two with Occupational Safety and Hazzard Aministration (OSHA) for safety violations. All five investigations failed in the hands of the agencies assigned by Congress to enforce the laws, investigate all charges, and protect the rights of the innocent; the American People.
