About the Book

The story of The Twinkling focuses on the life of Korle, an angel that fell from heaven under the authority of Lucifer. It delves into his past as an angel living a glorious life in heaven, follows him to the depths of hell, to earth as “mankind," and back again to heaven. It explores unspoken possibilities: that of the fallen angels being given a chance to choose which God to serve, with that choice being made during their span of time on earth. Though many scriptures are woven throughout the story, this narrative is not meant to be theological in its message, but is intended, rather, to inspire thought and interest in the eternal side of our existence.

The “earth story” deals with sibling jealousy and the profound chaos it can cause. Paralleling jealousy back to the motivation that caused Lucifer to fall, this story reveals not only how abusive events were manipulated by Lucy, the jealous, older sister, but how they worked together for the good in the younger sister regardless of the original intent. Alongside the chaos is the joy of having a best friend, with good events happening in that relationship despite the trouble at home.

The “heaven story” is a continuation of the good events, and so much more as Korle explores its wonders and never-ending possibilities with his friend Nagee, whom he later finds out is his earthly guardian angel.

The rest of the story, told from heaven’s point of view, deals with hell’s creation and existence, end-time events on earth, and the final war that ends Satan’s power over the earth and its inhabitants. Interwoven throughout the story is the story of Jesus and the salvation offered through his death and resurrection.

Fascinating and spellbinding, THE TWINKLING appeals to young and old alike.

Curious about the stranger as well as from where my aptitude for gardening came, a thought occurred:  The archives could reveal the answers to my questions.  Didn’t Nagee say that the archives were available?

As I mulled over this thought, my curiosity began to grow.  Would it be possible to view other events of earth?  Could I see the great flood, the creation of the world, the discovery of America?  Could I watch history in the making?”

Pondering this heady possibility, my curiosity increased until one day I mentioned to Nagee my desire to visit the archives.  “Ahh!  Rather early to be reviewing your earthly life, don’t you think?” he questioned.

“It’s not that record I want to review—at least not yet.  I just want to see history in the making.  Is it possible to see the great flood?  I have always been curious about that.”

***......“Let’s see,” Nagee mused out loud, “what millennium would you say it was?”

“According to the Biblical records it should be within the first 1,000 years of the creation of man,” I replied, happy to supply information I had learned on earth.

"Enoch, Methuselah, Noah, Shem--wait, here it is.”  He pressed the slight protrusion in the directory, and before we knew what was happening, the floor began to gently move under us.  Seats appeared, and the presentation began.  Shown in 360 degree virtual mode, my questions about the event were more than answered as I watched the worldwide deluge play out before me.

***......We watched as new generation after new generation appeared.  “At this point,” Nagee informed me, “you have to choose which family line to follow.”

“How do I know which one is mine?”

“There is a code.  You must put your hand under this light; it’s a DNA analyzer.”

Fascinated, I placed my hand where indicated.  The DNA results came instantaneously, and my ancestral line appeared on the surround screen.

***......As the archives entered into the twentieth century, I hesitated.  Did I really want to view my own earthly life just yet?  Hadn’t I been mortified when the sin in my life was exposed during my day of judgment?  Yet, I felt compelled to continue with the history of my family.

“Are you ready?” asked my friend.  He could feel my hesitancy and knew that I had to be fully aware and ready for what I was to experience.

“Yes,” I answered firmly, for I knew that I needed to see my time on earth.
