Arriving by their spaceship to the area once known as Oklahoma, the family had come to plant a rain forest with seedlings from trees grown on Yosa's planet. Departing from the ship, Joieto stumbled and fell onto Harry, who was mostly buried in the sandy soil. Harry is a huge one hundred twenty-five million years old, magical powered snail.
Harry involuntarily takes his new found friends on dangerous adventure trips, back to the days when dinosaurs roamed freely on Earth, revealing the many different dinosaurs and creatures that lived there during that time frame. Ben, a Brachiosaurus dinosaur, becomes their friend and often helped them out of the dangerous situations they found themselves in, thanks to Harry's magical powers. Would Ben turn into ashes if he were brought to the current time?
Joieto and Troy, both Earthlings, fall deeply in love during the challenges that faced them. They get married in a way that no other couple on Earth has ever done before.
Harry the Snail is truly an adventure, action packed, love story that will warm and capture the heart and soul of everyone, at any age.
They were awaken the following morning to the screeching loud noises of the dinosaurs. Their tents and cots had disappeared. They were all dressed in their night attire. Quickly they formed together as a group. Luckily Yosa had slept with his rod and that was projected with them. Other than that, they had nothing, not even shoes on their feet.
"Oh, that Harry! I am going to get him," Paul yelled looking for Harry, who was no where within sight.
"Where is Harry?" Yosa asked looking around in the dim lit world that currently surrounded them.
"He's got to be here somewhere," yelled Dodieto over the screeching noises. "We did not get here on our own."
"No, we sure didn't. Everyone look for him," Yosa expressed. "Troy, are you okay?" He asked noticing that Troy was as white as a ghost and stood as if he were paralyzed.
"I guess so," responded the young man.
"We will be okay. This is your first trip, we have had several and we always go back," Joieto said with reassurance about their situation, walking over to stand beside him.
"We have to stay together," Yosa said flashing the light made possible by his rod, around the area to check to see that everyone was okay.
Suddenly they heard the soft moos and felt the hot air of Ben's nostrils fill the air over them. The ground shook from his steps. Troy practically jumped out of his skin, turning whiter than before.
Reaching over to touch Troy, Joieto said. "It's only Ben. Hi Ben, do you know where Harry is?"
"Mooo," answered the Dinosaur as if to say no.
"Will you help us find Harry?" Joieto asked.
Flashing the light, Yosa quickly shown the light on their surrounding area. The skeletons of trees still looked as scary as they always had against the dim light in the horizon. The light frightened a very large bat type of creature, a Pteranodon, with a wing span of fourteen feet wide. The creature squawked and drove straight toward them. Ben took one step forward covering the group as a shelter away from the creature. Ben caught the creature in his mouth, shuck his head violently and laid the creature down in front of them.
"Good boy," Yosa said reaching out to stroke the huge leg of the Dinosaur.
"Why didn't he eat him?" Questioned Joieto.
"Ben is a Brachiosaurus dinosaur. He is a vegetarian," Troy quickly answered.
"You know about these creatures?" Questioned Paul whom looked whiter than any ghost.
"Yes. I have always been fascinated by them. I have studied them for years. I have no idea that I would ever get to meet one in person," he answered getting over the shock of being back in time with the dinosaurs.
"It looks like Ben might be very hungry," Troy continues. "The trees are bare and there is nothing left in this area for him to eat."
"Maybe he continued on to another area after this time frame, what ever time frame it is," Sontra said.
"I don't think so or we would not have found his bones," Dodieto answered.
"I guess your rightttt . . . ," Aronsa answered in almost a scream, as the giant dinosaur stepped backwards uncovering them.
"Thanks, Ben," Joieto said looking up into the face of the gentle creature. "Without your help, I am sure that things would have gotten one of us."
Ben mooed gently as to say, 'your welcome.'
Flashing the light up into the fact of Ben, Yosa asked. "Can you help us find Harry?"
"Moo, moo, moo," replied the creature.
"Is that a yes?" Questioned Jan. The group watched Ben set down on his hunches as if he were a dog.
"He looks like a giant overgrown dog," Troy said having overcome his shock of being in 'another world'. "I wonder if he can smell like a black lab? Yosa, would you shine the light on me? I would like to try to communicate with Ben."
