About the Author

Roger Grimson received a PhD in mathematics from Duke University and took an early retirement from the Department of Preventive Medicine and the Department of Applied Mathematics and Statistics at Stony Brook University, New York. He then started a statistical consulting business. He has published many professional papers in diverse areas: mathematical physics, biostatistics, epidemiology, and number theory, to list a few. But for many years, Roger wanted to be a fantasy fiction writer—so now he is. Roger grew up in North Carolina and lived in New York for many years, but now he lives in Jupiter, Florida, with his wife, Linda, and their mysterious cat and three dogs.
