About the Book

Jahzara’s First Day is the first in a series of books about a little girl going through life facing many of the challenges that our children face on a daily basis that we don’t always realize that they face. Jahzara is 5 years old and her name means blessed princess. In First Day she is going to kindergarten and facing being away from her parents for the first time. She relies on some inspirational words from her father to get her through this new, exciting, and yet frightening experience that all children will one day have to endure. First Day will not only inspire children going through this experience but any experience that may cause them to be frightened, afraid, or a little less confident in themselves.

About the Author

I am a 37-year-old wife and mother. My husband and I have been together for 19 years. I have 4 amazing children, 4 grand-daughters, 1 God-Daughter and a host of little brothers, little sisters and cousins. I have always had a love for books and writing. I began writing poetry at age 5. I have always surrounded myself with children and I have a genuine love for understanding children where they are and the environment they are in. As a mother and Nana I know that each child is different and have different gifts and talents within them. I enjoy seeking out those talents and inspiring children to do and be anything that their hearts desire, despite the odds they may face. The children in my life are the inspiration for which all my books are written.
