About the Author

I am inspired by bringing people together with adventure and diversity. Everyone has something unique about them that can add to life’s journey. I feel each encounter with each person you meet is meant for a reason. Finding what each person has in common and their differences makes life more fun and interesting. My name was often confused with a boy’s name and quickly forgotten because it was not easy to remember. Reading helped me belong in a book when I didn’t fit into a new school. Doing something memorable such as offering a friendship can mean everything to someone who is lonely. Through children’s books I hope to offer that friendship with inclusive adventures. Finding the perfect niche of friends takes a lifetime! Sometimes you have to be the Captain and steer the boat!
