The Author was born in 1932. She was the third of six daughters.
At the age of 15 their father died leaving five daughters at home. The youngest was 3 years old; the oldest was married.
In high school she took business courses and after graduation got a job in an office. A year later she married and became a wife and then a mother. They had four sons and a daughter. She worked when her husband was out of work but basically her responsibility was their children.
She was active in the PTA for 16 years and served two years on the Ohio PTA board as by-laws and procedure chairman. She was a scout den mother and active in the Little League football in their city.
As time passed life was pretty normal. Tests in raising children are always before you have learned the lessons but you all survive.
In 1971 their oldest graduated and joined the Air Force. In 1973 the second son graduated and joined the Air Force.
In 1974 the Authors husband died of a massive heart attack. The shock was beyond belief. Three children at home, two boys 15 and 12, and their daughter 9. How was she going to alter her life to be mother and father?
The Author found herself writing poetry and her little girl asked her to write some children's poems and she did.
When grandchildren came along the Author started writing children's stories and each of her stories has a lesson to learn.
“Mac the Stray Dog” is the first to be published. Her hope is that the public will enjoy this book and appreciate the lesson.
