Meet Ollie. He's more than just my pet. He's a famous hero! He saved our town picnic last spring.
You see, last year I really wanted a new puppy. I saved up my money for months and went to the pet store to pick out the perfect, a playful cuddly little puppy.
I even had a perfect puppy name picked out- Spot.
When I made it to the pet store, I didn't see any puppies with spots. I didn't see any puppies at all. But in the corner, I saw the most wonderful pet ever. "He's a real anteater,” explained Mr. Barnes, the owner of the pet store. “I brought him back from South America myself last week. I'll only sell him to someone who will promise to take very good care of him.” “Oh! I will take great care of him, Mr. Barnes!” I promised. “But what do I feed him?” “Why, ants, of course! Lots and lots of ants! His favorites are the hot and spicy fire ants,” Mr. Barnes answered with a grin.
Mr. Barnes was right. Ollie really liked ants A LOT! He ate all the ants in my yard the very first day. I had to find more ants for Ollie right away!
That afternoon all my friends wanted to play in my lawn, because their yards had too many ants. That's when I got an idea. Why not start a business and help my friends at the same time?
