About the Author
Tariq Rana has enjoyed writing children's fiction from a very young age, and particularly enjoys writing poetry. He was born in 1977 in Lahore, Pakistan, but moved to London, England in 1979, and has lived there ever since. He studied Management Science at the University of Southampton, before completing a Diploma in Marketing and achieving Chartered Marketer status. Tariq works in the Telecommunications industry, but continues to write short stories for young audiences in his spare time. Tariq is married and has three children who are the inspiration behind all of his stories. He is a sports enthusiast and enjoys playing football, cricket and tennis on a regular basis. Tariq believes that reading is a great gift, and that parents and children can formulate a special bond at a very young age through reading together. Whilst Tariq's stories are written for young audiences, their humour and delightful rhyming style means they can be enjoyed by all ages.
