Why Willow Wept

Among the tree, Willow was the youngest and shortest, but she had the loudest and the most melodious whistle of the wind. Her songs tickled the birds who just loved dancing on her wind. Willow was the first of the trees with the ability to make her limbs go as limp as whips. She used them to help the clouds move across the sky with every wave. She was a very happy tree who was known for her cheer and her beauty. One day, a young donkey came for a drink at the water’s edge near where Willow lived. After his drank, he decided to rest. He walked over to Willow, leaned against her and said "You know Willow, you remind me of a toad." Of all the things a donkey could say, that was not what she expected to hear.
