CHAPTER 6, NIAGARA FALLS, manuscript page 69. Barbara and I are ready with enthusiasm to take a taxi this morning to the ticket booth for the Maid of the Mist boat ride. At the ticket booth, our friend Kim and her family from Canada join us. Even though they are not taking the boat this morning, they will watch our ride from above. A delightful tour group of Italians of all ages are ready to climb aboard with us. They are totally exuberant about the boat ride. Energy, Energy, Energy! We feel the same. When the gangplank is lowered and we walk aboard, Barbara and I climb the stairs to the upper deck to stand on the left side, port side, closest to the American Falls. The gulls and cormorants are flying above us or sitting on big rocks in the river. The day is bright and the temperature is just right – not too hot, and not too cold. The boat horn sounds and we slowly head up the Niagara River to the Falls. Barbara and I begin sounding the OMs continuously. We know we are in the presence of the Dragon. We pass the Cave of the Wind and its energy, continuing to the main Falls on the American side. Solid water pours over the cliffs. We are moving closer and closer to the Falls. Now we are underneath them. TREMENDOUS WATER POURING, POURING, POURING. The wind whips off my poncho hood and my head is drenched. I am covered with water. I look up at the Falls with WATER RUSHING DOWN. I turn my back and look across the boat to the Canadian side of the Falls. There is a GRAND RAINBOW on that side! WOW! The captain keeps pushing the boat against the current and we stay for a very long time in the center of the Vortex of energy of Niagara Falls. Swirling, churning, spraying torrents. WATER, WATER, WATER, WATER. OM. OM. OM. OM. OM. OM. OM. OM. OM. The roar of the Falls accepts our OMs.
