About the Book

My life has been filled with love yet not without trials, tests, temptations and persecution. Through it all, God-Jehovah has never left me nor forsaken me, even when I have forsaken Him. He has been a constant in my life and has miraculously saved my family and all those with whom I have been in contact. I sincerely pray that this biography of my life with Jesus Christ will encourage the reader to follow the “Call” in his or her life. There is nothing special about me. My only virtue is God’s love, which has brought me to obedience, increased faith, trust, love and forgiveness. “I am God’s ‘Go-Go Girl’ Wherever He sends me I go! Whatever He says “Do” I do!” “My love for Him is overwhelming, my worship of Him is everlasting, my praise of Him is insufficient, since I have not the tongues of angels. May He hear my praise from the crevices of my heart and continue to bless my efforts as I labour in the vineyard of life, for souls for His kingdom.” “Jesus, keep me near the cross; Where the precious fountain, Free to all, a cleansing stream, Flows from Calvary’s mountain. In the cross, in the cross, Be my glory ever.”

About the Author

About the Author Dr. Hyacinth Simmonds Hue was born in Tweedside, Clarendon. She attended Tweedside Elementary School until age 10, when her grandmother and aunt took her to May Pen, as she continued her Elementary education and passed the first Jamaica Local examinations. Mr. Walter King became the principal of Maryland Elementary School and the family moved to Maryland where she sat for her second Jamaica Local examinations. She returned to Tweedside at age 13 to take the third Jamaica Local examinations . After being laid off she had a stint at the Ministry of Labour. From there she applied to the Ministry of Education for permission to study abroad. In this she was successful and on January 17th (two weeks late of the semester) she arrived at Tuskegee Institute (Tuskegee University) where she claimed all the scholastic awards; national, academic and Institute. She graduated Magma Cum Laude and was awarded a fellowship in order to continue the Master’s Degree. Later she accomplished her PhD Nutrition and Doctor of Christian Psychological Counseling (DPCP). She retired from New York State Education Department Division of Finance and Management as Associate Chief of Nutrition and Finance Management. Dr. Hue is a registered Nutritionist/Dietitian in the state of New York. Before the State, she was Nutrition Director of Project Head Start (City of New York) where she pioneered several programs and was granted a large fund for a proposal she wrote for the first Breakfast Program which has been extended through the United States and its protectorate, in the public and private (Elementary and Secondary ) schools. Since her utterance in childhood, Dr. Hue has had the willingness to care for children, the elderly and the needy. She met and married her love, the man she asked of the Lord and they are the proud parents of 8 Godly children, 23 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. The miracles in her life are many and daily. One of which is God telling her to purchase the old school land. She did. Years later God told her to build a Retreat House for burnt out pastors, evangelists and missionaries, stating that they will help the people as they retreat and recoup their strength. Without any help other than her children, she built Zoe Retreat, renovated her parent’s home as Retreat #2, renovated Rev. Desmond Thompson’s family home as Zoe Retreat #3 for a Boy’s Home. Then she was told of a vision by Mrs. Desmond Thompson of a two storied building on the Shaw’s property which is what is seen there today. She has been all things to all people, from education to community church and members, to schools and institutions, to hospitals and government. Her vocation to help children and to give is untiring. She built and furnished a one room house for a citizen whose residence was destroyed by time and weather, and constructed indoor bathrooms for two elderly citizens. She paid for education for many students in high school and colleges. She continues to feed the hungry and to minister to the body, soul and spirit. She ministered in the Tweedside Church of God Jamaica for many years. She is a scheduled Minister of the Frankfield Baptist Circuit of Churches. (Formerly 6 churches now divided to 3). She has ministered in Great Britain, USA and is a Bishop.
