About the Book
Go with Dontae Crowder in his journey from a space of darkness to the light, which he desperately searched for. He realized that he wasn’t the only one who had thorns, and he learned how to embrace them. This book is about the journey of a seed to its bloom.
About the Author
Raised in Joliet Illinois, Dontae Crowder grew up having an extreme passion for literature.he excelled in his reading class and even attempted short story writing in the 3rd grade. It wasn’t until the 7th grade he started writing poetry. In his freshman year of high school, he joined his school’s speech team in hopes of becoming a better poet and performed poems published by other authors in competition. He did this his sophomore year and senior year also.During the summer after his sophomore year, he suffered a stroke in spinal cord and became paraplegic but didn’t allow it to stop him from competing his senior year when he placed 4th in the regional meet and qualified for sectionals. He also performed in his school’s productions of “Hamlet” and the “Laramie Project”. With his first book down, Donate hopes to write more and build a professional acting career.
