How does the book publishing process work?

Throughout our AuthorCentric publishing process, you collaborate with AuthorHouse Design Consultants to ensure your vision is translated into a custom-designed book. Our author assistants provide advice and support while allowing you to maintain creative control over all aspects of your book. You decide what is best for the project, and we design the book around your ideas.

Once we have received all of your materials, we learn about your vision for the project before we begin to work on your book. After reviewing your manuscript, the book designer and cover designer will collaborate with you to choose the most attractive and readable design for your genre. We will design your book interior and cover and send you a galley proof to review.

As soon as you return the galley to us, we'll make any revisions you request and, if necessary, send you a second galley. This process will continue until you approve all content within your book. Once you have approved the galley and cover, we’ll place your book on our printer's production schedule.

Your book is turned into an electronic computer file that contains all the content - words, pictures, tables, and other elements, including formatting specifications. From this file, we can generate books in a wide range of formats: hardcover and paperback books, downloadable electronic books and eBooks. The entire process is based on new digital technology, which means every copy is actually an original, with no loss of quality, even after thousands of copies. At every stage in the process, our unique author center allows you to check on the progress of your book by simply visiting our website.
