Legal Deposit

The legal deposit is a system that helps ensure that the nation’s published output is preserved and available for future generations of readers. By law, a copy of every UK print publication must be given by its publishers to the British Library and to five other major libraries that request it. A work is considered to have been ‘published’ when copies of it are issued to the public. Since April 2013, this system also covers material published digitally and online.

AuthorHouse UK takes care of the Legal Deposit for you on a free-of-charge basis with no paperwork required on your end.
