“My dear Rose, I speak to you now from the realms of the spirit. I am Nicholas Black Elk. Nicholas was the name given to me by the black robes of the church when I adopted the ways of the Christian. It was a good way for me then; it taught me much about the man called Jesus and what many call Heaven and Hell. I’m happy that I learned those ways for it taught me many things.” “And these are the things that you taught me in The Green, when I was a little girl?” I ask Black Elk. “Yes, and much more, Rose. Oh! So much more. Then I spoke to you about the knowledge of those things; from their truth and beauty and from the truth and beauty of the Lakota way also. And now I can speak to you about them with so much more understanding of the knowledge of both ways, and not only of the knowledge of those two ways, but also of the knowledge which is alive within each and every one of you on Earth. It is the knowledge of your essential nature as spiritual and human beings. This knowledge knows no religious limits, not does it know separation of any kind. So before I begin, know this, I love you, I love all of you, and I will never forget you. We are all one in spirit. I cannot love myself without loving you.”

About the Author
Eliza White Buffalo has been a shaman from birth. In her childhood she made thousands of out-of-body journeys into the spirit world. She travelled with a spirit lady called May, who took her to an imaginary place called the Green. It was in this place that Eliza met with Black Elk, who taught her much about who she is, who he was, and the divine purpose of her life. He showed her much of the great vision when she was nine years old. He taught her how to survive the difficult black road and how to be happy from within. Eliza had a near-death experience in 2002 due to a serious road accident. She believes she died for three minutes and was sent back to do the divine work she had come to do. For the past eleven years, Black Elk has been guiding Eliza in fulfilling this divine life’s purpose. The Two Roads Trilogy is a story based on Eliza’s experiences in the spirit world, her experiences with Black Elk and other spirits, and her many past-life memories.
