About the Author

Kasey Brooks was born and raised in a suburb of Houston, Texas, where she survives the craziness of life with her husband, two children, and more dogs than the law allows. She has bachelor's degrees in English, secondary education, and dance, and a master's degree in English. Her passion in life is volunteering as a foster mom to injured and homeless dogs for several rescue groups, while also enjoying time with girlfriends, shoe shopping, and worshiping God. Kasey is currently finishing her children's series The Lone Star Adventures of Lively Laverne about her obese Basset Hound who always saves the day.
