About the Book

When Warren and Darragh start senior national school, both have very special companions to take with them. Fortunately, their school caters to companion aliens and dragons. The boys slowly realize that they have to train these companions that have turned up but that they are not without assistance. Mysterious doors and cracks in space and time lead the boys and their friends on a very strange journey. This mysterious school is full of surprises, and the boys even surprise themselves. They didn’t realize they are hero material.

About the Author

I was born in 1956 in Dún Laoghaire, County Dublin, Ireland, to Nicholas Sharkey and Elizabeth Doyle. I grew up with music and art all around me. I was an Irish twin, my sister being one year younger than I. Nikki and I went everywhere together. I have two younger brothers, Brendan and Philip, who are veteran alien and dragon trainers. My father was a journalist and my mother a beautiful singer. We spoke Irish and learnt all about our history and heritage as I grew up. My father played various string instruments and the tin whistle, and my siblings and I also heard our mother sing opera. My sister became an opera singer, singing all over the world. I studied the Montessori Method, got married, had lots of children, studied, and went on to work with children. I have travelled all over the United States, mostly to learn about the histories and cultures of the Native American nations. I have travelled to lots of other places too, learning that our DNA has travelled all over the world and we carry a little of everyplace around with us. A special-needs classroom assistant for more than a decade, I have met many heroic alien and dragon trainers. I have an honours degree in psychology and am now working towards an honours degree in theology. I am the mother of eight amazing children, who themselves have lit up my life with nine grandchildren and counting. I am married to a very patient man, and I love my job, my colleagues, and the children I work with. They nearly have me trained! I am truly blessed.
