About the Book

The poems written by Vanessa Barton come from the heart. Their inspiration came from years of joy and sadness as she fought tenaciously to maintain a spiritual balance in a perplexing society. This is a mixture of joy and happiness mingled with the pain and sorrows that she conveyed as making life meaningful and rewarding.

About the Author

I was born “Vanessa Lamar Thomas Anderson” in the late 50’s born to Horace Anderson and Veola Thomas. I was the middle child in a house of ten children consisting of five boys and five girls. The best thing that I can say about my childhood is that I learn to not take things for granted, everything that you have is a blessing. I myself was blessed with two wonderful sons : Joseph Bostick Jr. and Roberto Barragan iv(rip) of whom I am very proud. Through those two blessings I am also blessed with four beautiful grand children ( A grandmother’s pride).Join me through my quest as I go through the trials and tribulations of a mother.
