Brian Bibi was born in Niles, Michigan.  As a child, he was always off drawing somewhere.  He continued drawing throughout his education, and in 1998 received his BFA in Graphic Design from Western Michigan University.  After graduating, he immediately began professional practice in Chicago.  In 2001, he took a sabbatical to Europe to discover it for himself, and his first sketch planted a seed.  In 2002, he returned to Europe for more exploring and has now combined his love for kids, travel, and graphic design, to provide educational material for young children about our world.

He is currently in Amsterdam working on the next book of the Explore Series:  Explore Southeast Asia.  He spent the first six months of 2003 traveling through the nine countries of Southeast Asia.
