About the Book

This book contains a framework and its appendices for building services installation works. Principles outlined in the model for management include work breakdown structure, quality function deployment, dependency structure matrix, and value management. The framework that is intended for use by building services consultants for effective design management can easily be adopted for other professionals within the built environment. The appendices outline roles and responsibilities during the design management process.

About the Author

IVY MAAME ADWOA ABU - B.Sc., PhD, PMP Dr. Abu is a full time Lecturer at Central University, Miotso, Ghana. She obtained her B.Sc. and PhD.degrees in Building Technology from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST). In 2006, she was a visiting scholar at the Heriot-Watt University in Scotland. She is a renowned Project Management Professional, who takes key interest in educating and training to broaden the horizon of Project Management since 2009. THEOPHILUS ADJEI-KUMI - BSc, MSc, PhD, GhIS, PMP Prof. Adjei-Kumi is a Senior Lecturer at the Department of Building Technology, Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Kumasi, Ghana. He obtained his BSc degree in Building Technology from KNUST in 1992, after which he left to Strathclyde University, Scotland for his MSc and PhD degrees in Construction Management from 1994 to 1997. He is an astute Quantity Surveyor and a Project Management Professional.
