About the Author

Capt. Ed Sullivan, was blessed to have the wonderful experience of bringing together his son Ryan and his dog Rocky to enjoy their youthful days together in the forest of America’s hometown Plymouth, Massachusetts. Capt. Ed Sullivan is the author of “Daddy’s Not Comin’ Home,” and to soon be released from Author House “Mommy Went to Work.” Historical fiction stories of the merchant marine sailors who incurred the highest casualty rate in WWII, and the women who built the largest fleet of ships in the history of the world helping to preserve our American way of life. Ryan Sullivan “Rocky’s” master had distinguished service in the US Navy carrying on a tradition of over a century of service by the Sullivan family. The author rededicated the story of “Rocky the Awesome Dog,” for his grandchildren Declan and Jack to include his son Ryan and the gift this June of his newly born daughter “Ryan” named after her father. With the world today filled with indifference and misunderstandings, the author shares this story with the reader to instill the importance of joyful memories in our youth as we reflect on our journey in life.
