About the Book

This children’s book was created with the mothers in mind as well. Not only does the child give mom gifts but they are elaborate ones. The child goes out of his way to show how much he loves his mom, and the mother returns these gifts just to realize a simple hug is quite enough. A child’s gifts are special things and should be celebrated, but this mother is overwhelmed by such generosity. She tries to reciprocate, but then the boy is flabbergasted with such huge gifts. Flooded with love, this story is sure to warm your heart.

About the Author

Laura Parr is a mother of five children nestled out in the mountains and has been creating all her life. Since she was two she had a pencil in hand. As she became older writing became a passion she needed to pursue. As her children grew she found some ‘me’ time. Taking courses in illustrating and writing with Mira Reisnerg ( highly interactive craft and business of writing children’s picture books course) furthered her thirst for writing this book. Laura also attended classes at S.A.I.T for a short time. With a sprinkling of gallery shows she feels now is the time to illustrate her heart out. Today, with a coffee in hand, you’ll find her working in her studio creating something artistic. Born into a family with a long line of artistically gifted woman and raised in a remote town of Manson Creek, BC, Amanda Parr has always had all the inspiration, encouragement and time needed to create freely. After submersing herself in every school art program and online tutorial for watercolor, acrylic, oil, etc., Photoshop invited her to explore yet another medium. At sixteen her passion for digital art sprouted and has been growing ever since branching out into online art sites and collaborations with friends and family. Today, she is living the creative life and can always be found relishing in the beauty of mother nature’s artwork.
