About the Book

This ministry began with about ten people who, on Sunday morning, did not enter the doors of any of God’s house of worship and who had an urging to wake up with a Sunday morning text message just to get them going. As time passed, we were blessed to share these same messages not only to those who did not make it to church but also to those who just wanted to hear an inspiring Word just to get them going. It has been shared with me that these early morning text messages (they were sent out beginning at 7:00 a.m.) was their wake-up call or a Word while getting dressed or even at the breakfast table. I am so honored that these single servings of God’s Word are shared not only by those in pews but also for those who stand behind the pulpit. It is a blessing to be able to share some thoughts on God’s Words to those who have an eye or an ear to receive. Those who love for the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords takes the time grab hold of a message whose original author promises to grab hold of you. To receive the full value of God’s messages, please attend the house of prayer of your choice for Sunday school, Bible study, and worship services. (If you are in the area, stop on by the Mt. Gilliam Baptist Church.) I invite you to read each scripture text and then the lesson that follows. At the time of this publication, these Sunday morning text messages and Facebook posts reaches as far north as the New England area, as far south as Florida and Texas, and as far west as California. Keep in mind: these words that are shared are not a complete sermon but food for thought. This is a spiritual continental breakfast—a continental Word. This is not a sermon but a single sample of God’s will. It’s not a sermon but a serving of God’s love.

They are the proud grandparents of six. After 25 years of service, Pastor King a former District Training Manager for Food Lion Inc., was blessed to be able to move from career to calling, working full time in the field of God’s ministry.
