About the Book

The Sky Is NOT the Limit is a collection of adventures that have taken us around the world. Each chapter is an individual story and can be read independently. Perhaps when Joan and I are old and gray we will sit together and read and re-live all these memories. The stories take you to the four corners of the world, on all seven continents, and the major cities of the world. At last count the number was sixty countries and counting. I am not too sure who else would be interested - perhaps one day our grandchildren and then one day their grandchildren. Young people who would be curious to know something about their ancestors and what life was like at the close of the 20th century and the dawn of the 21 century. Oh well, who knows. But it sure was fun writing about these travels. And a whole lot more exciting creating these memories with my soul-mate.

About the Author

Jim lives with his wife, Joan, on the south bank of the Caloosahatchee River in Ft. Myers, Florida where he writes, runs, and dreams up his next challenge and adventure. Joan stays active and involved with the Art League and her artistic talents. They make regular retreats to their home in Lake Harmony in the Pocono Mountains of Pennsylvania spending time with family friends . Jim tells the stories of their travels around the world. Stories from cities around the world such as London, Paris, and Rome. Hang gliding from the Tijuca Rain Forest in Rio de Janeiro out over the Atlantic Ocean. Running on all seven continents, more than fifty countries, and most of the major cities in the world. Scuba diving off the Yucatán Peninsula in Mexico. Marathons in Berlin, Moshe, Africa—home to Mount Kilimanjaro, the Andes Mountains of Chile. White River rafting on level-V rapids of the Gauley River in West Virginia. The Sydney Opera House in Australia. Hong Kong. Singapore. Indonesia. Papua New Guinea. They traveled with their dear friend of many years, TJ Ryan (she passed on May 15, 2017.) They were amazed by the Giant’s Causeway on the Irish Sea, the remains of the Berlin Wall, cruising in the Caribbean, bicycling at New England, and cruising Alaska. The travels were fascinating, interesting, and of course, educational.
