This book is for grades one and two (younger or older depending on maturity of child). Teachers or parents can read it to the children (first two pages which explains the makeup of the book after that the child or children will be able to go there. This book tells true facts about the animal on one page and the next page shows a humorous portrayal of that animal in simple poetry. This book helps the child with the alphabet, facts about animals as well as exploring some of the many genres of poetry. The parent or teacher can have the child or children create their own funny or serious poem. This should elicit creative and fun activities for children.

About the Author
I am a widow, living in a retirement community in Ocala, Florida. My four lovely children, grandchildren, greats, son-in laws and daughter-in-laws are all doing wonderfully well. They all reside in various states from Virginia, Ohio, Georgia, Indiana and St. Louis. We visit each other regularly. I am a former reading teacher. When I was teaching, there wasn’t too many creative poetry books to choose from. That is one of the initiatives that prompted me to write this book. Hopefully, this will be a successful addition to the variety of books that are out today.
