About the Book

“Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned.” Which means (I looked it up) no one is angrier than a woman who has been rejected in love. This is a story about a small resort town shop owner, Rusty, whose husband died in a boating accident. While taking pictures for a calendar to sell in her shop, she met an elderly farmer, Max. Her friendship brought him out of his depression and gave him a renewed interest in life. (That is the good part.) Together Rusty and Max innocently stumbled onto a drug ring. (That is the bad part) This story has humor and dumb luck all the while showing you what life is like in a small town. In the end, Rusty gets her revenge. This is light reading. Some of it is inspired on tales told. Some of it isn’t.

About the Author

Alice Randt was born and raised in the farming community of West Central Minnesota. She has enjoyed reading books since childhood, always thinking maybe some day she could write a book. As an adult she signed up for and completed a writing course at the Institute of Children’s Literature. Her achievements are a Family Cookbook that has pictures of family members and a couple of their favorite recipes. A book of short stories called Alice in Wanderland. These are stories of incidents that took place on bus tours while she was a tour director. She wrote numerous brochures for the tour catalogs, describing trips for customer’s vacations. She says she has a whole living room full of characters and can’t wait to see what they’ll do next.
