About the Author

Kathy Hill was born Katherine Viedge in Mthatha in the Transkei region of South Africa. Much of her childhood was spent at her family home of Viedgesville, and on the Transkei’s Wild Coast. Kathy attended Clifton Park high school - now Hudson Park high - in East London, Eastern Cape, South Africa. Kathy worked for over 30 years as a Radiographer, mostly in the Kwa Zulu Natal province, while raising her two children. The last ten years were spent working at Cecilia Makiwane Hospital in Mdantsane. Kathy is now retired - apart from some locum work from time to time. She lives with her Mother and a Panda Bear named Wittie. Kathy has also written Gogo and the Upside Down Umbrella and Gogo and the Runaway Mushroom.
